My time in Tobago is always a little work, lots of play and a ton load of magic. 

As much as I love the Northeast the Caribbean girl in me dreams of living in the islands again someday. Visits are brilliant, but imagine getting to wake up to tropic warmth every morning? I get the shivers if it drops below 70 degrees. Forget airconditioning - I LOVE the heat. The things I took for granted for so many years, oui.

A few images from our stay at the Tcherassi Hotel in Cartagena, Colombia. With just seven perfect rooms, the hotel was converted from a colonial mansion and the airy modern touches blend with antique details brilliantly. I am currently in withdrawal from this beautiful place and stellar, always smiling staff - you could not ask for a better retreat from the heat and activity of the city.

Please note that if you have a plant wall obsession, staying here will not help tame it one bit - if I could have packed theirs in my suitcase I would have in a heartbeat. Instead made do with all the mochilas and gorgeous handwoven goods (like the poncho I am wearing in the first photo) I could squeeze into our luggage. Can I go back now?

Dude, Jennifer Lawrence is bloody cute and funny. Extra obsessed. Her post Oscar interview is still cracking us up. Can we point out again that she is wearing our earrings here? <3 <3 <3
